Welcome back to Term 3! I was so glad to see all of your children at school. The students arrived with smiling faces, and were ready to learn new things.
In literacy we worked on the letter Vv, and words such as, vegetable, violin, very, van, valentine, and viper. We worked on using sight words in a sentence. The sight words we reviewed; the, see, is, here, I, a, up, go, in, out.
We read stories about animals in the tree, a story containing words with V, and a story where we count letters in words.
In numeracy we graphed the letters in our names. Mohammed was the longest name in the class, and the students loved seeing how long their name is. We also reviewed counting, and patterns. The students are doing a great job making patterns using two colors (AB). They are extending the patterns without any help from me.

Science: Properties of Matter (solid, liquid, gas)
