Welcome Back!

Welcome Back!
This week the students came back ready to learn. They were refreshed, recharged, and ready to listen. The first day was tough for most students since we had a long break, but we managed to get a lot of work done.
In Literacy we worked on the letter G, created pictures based on the letter G, and tried to make a goose, a garden, a goat or a girl using the letter G cutout. The focus vocabulary for the week; girl, goat, goose, gold, globe, glass, and gate.

In Mathematics we focused on 2D shapes using a variety of objects. Students were asked to find 2D shapes in the classroom, as well as make 2D shapes using popsicle sticks.

In Science we worked on the 5 senses, focusing on sight and sound. Students were asked to describe what they see, as well as guess what sound they hear.

In Reading and Writing we read the story "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You Hear?" and colored in our own Brown Bear book using the story to help us remember what color the animals were.

As always thank you so much for helping your child with the homework sent home. Please continue practicing writing their name in English and counting to 100.

Next week we are focusing on:
Literacy: letter Oo
Mathematics: 2D and 3D shapes
Science: 5 Senses; Touch and Smell

Here is a look at what we did in class:
