Due to the holiday for Prophet Mohammed (PBUH), and having to take a sick day the students worked hard during Literacy, Numeracy, and Science.
In Literacy we worked on the letter Oo, created pictures of an octopus using paint, and drew pictures of the letter Oo. The
focus vocabulary for
the week; octopus, olive, oryx, ox, oil rig, ostrich, orange, owl

In
Mathematics we focused on 3D shapes using a variety of objects.
Students were asked to find 3D shapes in the classroom (cube, cone, cylinder, and sphere). We also reviewed 2D shapes and counting to 100.
In Science we worked on the 5 senses, focusing on touch and smell. When shown a picture students were asked if it was a good smell or a bad smell. For touch we talked about soft, hard, smooth, heavy, light, rough, and sharp.
In Reading and
Writing we did not get to during the week since it was shortened for the holiday, but will resume next week.
As always thank you so much for helping your child with the homework sent home. Please continue practicing writing their name in English, counting to 100, and writing numbers 0 to 20.
