It is the second week of school, and the students are working hard. The school day is now following a normal schedule which means your child is staying later. Your child is improving on the classroom rules and routines, and doing a good job listening to the teachers. The students were introduced to the letter Mm, and introduced to some letter Mm words. We counted to 10, and reviewed numbers, shapes, and colors.
This week the students will work on learning words that start with Mm, and identify letter Mm in stories, in words, and in their name. We will continue to focus on numbers to 10, colors, and shapes. The students will also count objects this week, and match quantities to numbers. In Science we will focus on the days of the week, the months of the year, and the seasons.

The students loved playing with shaving cream. They giggled, and talked while swirling it around the table. They loved the feel of the shaving cream.
